‍‍`New curriculum has not been not suspended yet‍‍`

Ruling out rumours and media reports on postponement of new curriculum,  the NCTB has clarified that it was not postponed yet.

“A news report regarding postponement of new curriculum by National Curriculum and Textbook Board is being presented at different media (print and electronic) which is not true,” said an NCTB notice on Saturday.

But, previously scheduled workshop on curriculum in Bogura on August 11 has been postponed, it said.    

"It is a matter of the government‍‍`s decision. NCTB cannot suspend the curriculum," Professor Farhadul Islam said.

He further explained: "We recently postponed a four-day workshop, but we do not have the authority to suspend the new curriculum at will. A government decision is required for such matters."
